EU Regulation 2026/1890 sets new limits for furan compounds in baby and cereal‑based foods. Effective 19 Aug 2026, applied from 1 Jan 2028.
Amends Regulation (EU) 2023/915 as regards maximum levels for the sum of furan, 2-methylfuran and 3-methylfuran in processed cereal-based foods and baby foods intended for infants and young children.
