The new Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/854 establishes the coordinated multiannual EU control programme, indicating the products to be sampled over the three-year period and the combinations of pesticide residues to be analyzed in the products
As pesticide use changes over time, the Regulation updates official monitoring plans to ensure controls remain representative of substances currently used in agriculture and food production, in order to assess consumer exposure across Europe.
To ensure that the range of pesticides included in the control programme is representative of the pesticides used, the results of analyses of previous official European Union control programmes are considered.
