New HPLC-DAD Method for the Determination of GSH and SAG in Food Supplements

Neotron has implemented a new HPLC-DAD method for the determination of Reduced Glutathione (GSH) and S-Acetyl Glutathione (SAG) in food supplements.

Glutathione is one of the most important antioxidants found in the body and plays a key role in protecting cells against oxidative stress while maintaining cellular redox balance. As a result, its use in food supplements has attracted growing interest across the nutraceutical sector.

Reduced Glutathione (GSH) is the biologically active form of glutathione and is involved in several physiological processes, including free radical neutralization, detoxification, and support of normal immune functions.

S-Acetyl Glutathione (SAG) is a modified form of glutathione characterized by enhanced stability and bioavailability, facilitating the delivery of glutathione into cells.

The introduction of this method further expands Neotron's analytical services for the food supplement industry, supporting manufacturers in label claim verification and quality control activities for products containing GSH and SAG.
